...Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will continue mainly south of a goldthwaite to palestine line through the early morning hours. Moderate to heavy rainfall and occasional lightning will accompany these storms as they move to the south at 20 mph. Rainfall amounts up to 1/2 inch can be expected with the heaviest storms. A cold front continues to move south and is located from near goldthwaite to athens. North winds around 15 mph and drier conditions can be expected behind the cold front.
