Services for Gaylon Bret Thomas, 43, San Antonio, were scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, at Hiett's LyBrand Funeral Home Chapel, Wills Point, with Dr. Gary L. Hearon officiating.
Private burial was in Haven of Memories Memorial Park, Canton.
Mr. Thomas died July 4, 2008, at his residence.
He was born May 5, 1965 in Wills Point to Clyde and Dianne Welch Thomas Jr. He lived in many different areas while growing up, and was a resident of Brownsville at the time of his graduation from Hanna High School. He resided in New Mexico for two years, and moved to San Antonio in 1989. He worked as an auto mechanic at his home, was a security guard, worked with the constable’s office serving warrants, and was a long-haul trucker. He was of Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Thomas Jr.; sister, Mitzi Thomas; and grandparents, Truman Welch and Hazel Howe.
Survivors include his fiancé, Terri Martinez, San Antonio; mother, Dianne Welch Thomas, San Antonio; brother and sister-in-law, Heath and Paris Thomas, Garden Ridge; grandparents, Ruth Thomas and Clyde Thomas, both of Canton, and Bill Howe, Wills Point; nephew, Wyatt Thomas; and other relatives.
