Services for Betty Ivalene Hulsey Toone, 65, Van, were held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 11, at Garden Valley Baptist Church with Pastor Robert Terry officiating.
Burial was in Garden Valley Cemetery under direction of Hilliard Funeral Home, Van.
Mrs. Toone died July 8, 2008, in Tyler.
She was born November 22, 1942 in Haleyville, Ala., to Garlon Dossy and Flora Leona Hill Hulsey. She was a longtime resident of Van and was a member of Garden Valley Baptist Church. She owned and operated The Edge of Dawn beauty shop at her home for 25 years, where she was a hair stylist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Shafer Toone II, in 1999; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Norma and Lewis Shafer Toone.
Survivors include son, Shafer Toone; daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Drew Durham; brothers, Dewayne Hulsey and Joe Hulsey; grandchildren, Crisanna Toone, Alexis T. Durham and Benjamin T. Durham; and other relatives.
