‘T.R.’ Maxfield

Services for Tommy Ray "T.R." Maxfield, 62, Van, were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 7, at Hilliard Funeral Home Chapel, Van, with Rev. Bryan Daniel officiating.

Burial was in Union Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Maxfield died October 4, 2008, at his residence.

He was born January 20, 1946 in Terrell to Garland Allen "Buddy" and Audry Pearl Edwards Maxfield. He was a lifelong resident of Van and worked for Morton Salt Company as a truck driver. He was a member of New Beginning Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy.

He was preceded in death by daughter, Diane Maxfield; and mother, Audry Maxfield.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Maxfield, Van; sons and daughter-in-law, Billy and Nancy Wilson and Craig Wilson, all of Van, and Bryan Maxfield; daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Rodney Lovett, Grand Saline; father, G.A. "Buddy" Maxfield, Van; brothers and sister-in-law, G.A. "Butch" and Mary Lou Maxfield, and Johnny Maxfield, all of Van; grandchildren, T.J. Wilson, and wife Emily, Cody Lovett, Jared Lovett, Brittn’ea Wilson, Steven Estrada and Bryce Wilson; great-granddaughter, Audrey Wilson; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Pallbearers included Jeff Maxfield, John Maxfield, Cody Lovett, Jared Lovett, Bryce Wilson and Sam Hipp.

T.J. Wilson and Lonnie Burkett served as honorary pallbearers.
