Graveside services for Jimmy Dean Dupree, 69, Ben Wheeler, were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, at Cana Cemetery with Billy Gurley and Jody Durham officiating, under direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton.
Mr. Dupree died October 4, 2008, in Ben Wheeler.
He was born August 22, 1939 in Lancaster to James Mayfield and Nora Dean Williamson Dupree. He grew up in Lancaster. As a young man, he boxed in the Golden Gloves. He was a master carpenter until 1989, when he started working as a truck driver, retiring two years ago.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Beth Dupree, Ben Wheeler; daughters and sons-in-law, Wendy and Samuel Anglin, Ben Wheeler, Jennifer Brown, Tyler, and Carrie and Billy Gurley, Fort Worth; mother-in-law, Anna Durham, Ben Wheeler; sisters, Connie Stiles, Missouri, and Alana Whitley, Arkansas; brothers, Kevin Dupree, Bonham, and Roddy Dupree, Arkansas; and grandchildren, McKayla Gurley, Branson Gurley, Patrick Brown and Nathan Brown.
