Services for Billy Boazman, 78, Ben Wheeler, were held at 2 p.m., June 27 at Hilliard Funeral Home, Van with Rev. Jeff Craft officiating.
Burial was in New Harmony Cemetery.
Mr. Boazman died June 23, 2009 in Grand Saline.
He was born May 7, 1931 in the Primrose Community to the late Clem and Dora Johns Boazman. He had lived in the area all of his life, had served in the US Army during the Korean War. He delivered gas prior to his retirement and was a member of Edom Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Rance Boazman and Leo Boazman, sisters, Medwyn Palmer and Ida Choate, and a nephew, Sonny Palmer.
Survivors include sister, Adoline Lanfrey Shake, San Antonio; sister-in-law, Dafphine McCain, Grand Saline; and numerous nieces and nephews.
