Memorial services for Barbara Ann Combs Alexander, 56, Van were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 21, at Pruitt Baptist Church, with Bro. David McNary officiating, under the direction of the family.
Ms. Alexander passed away October 18, 2009 in Tyler.
Barbara Ann Combs Alexander was born August 23, 1953 in Lubbock. She had been a resident of Van most of her life, and was a member of Pruitt Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and a seamstress.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Billy Perry Combs and Bettie Faye Johnson Combs; brother, Perry Carl Combs; grandparents, Maggie Johnson, James Edward Combs, Moniza Gartin and Milton Gartin; uncles, William Carl Johnson and James Edward Combs, Jr.; and aunts, Mildred Johnson and Nora Faye Combs.
Survivors include her son, Aaron Alexander of Canoga Park, California; sister, Anita Combs of Mabank; brother, James Roy Combs of Paris; four nieces; nine great nieces and nephews; and aunt, Pinkie Norrell of Van.
