Services for Josh Chambers, 26, Ben Wheeler were held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, October 28, at Hilliard Funeral Home, Van with Rev. Larry Shackleford officiating.
Burial was in Union Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Chambers passed away on October 24, 2009.
He was born January 11, 1983 in Mineola. He had been a resident of the Van area all of his life, and was a journeyman plumber. Among many great things he did in his life, he was awarded for saving his father’s life at age 12.
He was preceded in death by grandfather, Loring Himelright and uncle, Spencer Hale.
Survivors include his wife, Kristen Laudig Chambers; son, Joshua Kane Chambers and step-son, Kaisen Berry, all of Ben Wheeler; parents, Don and Darlene Chambers, Van; sister, Tina Valentine, Lindale; brother, Clint Chambers and wife Jeanifer, Overton; grandmother, Louise Himelright; nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Sondra Miller; and brother-in-law, Keaton Miller, both of Ben Wheeler and many other close relatives.
Pallbearers were Adam Koch, Michael Hale, Boyd Hale, Randy Posey, David Posey, Ron Boling, Scott Drennan, Chris Patton and Michael Koch.
