Cecil Ray Carter

Services for Cecil Ray Carter, 77, Chandler, were held at 10 a.m., November 3, at Eubank Funeral Home Chapel, Canton with Rev.Ronnie Daniell officiating.

Burial was in Liberty Cemetery, Martins Mill.

Mr. Carter passed away November 1, 2009 in Tyler.

He was born March 26, 1932 in Ben Wheeler, to Aubrey Ray and Reta Irene Rowan Carter. He grew up in Van Zandt County. He served in the US Army for 20 years and was a veteran of Korea and Vietnam. After the service he worked for Morton Salt and retired with 21 years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Nelda Oneita Carter, Chandler, sons, Richard and Betty Carter Baltimore, Md., Stacey and Patty Carter, Chandler, Tracy and Tamara Carter, Oklahoma City, Okla.; granddaughters, Amanda and Jennifer Carter, Chandler, and Victoria Carter, Essex, Md.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers were Mark Anthony, Clarence Lewis, Wiley Jenkins, Kyle Edwards, Richard Upton, Scott Hosman, John Harris.
