June Lewis

Services for June Lewis, 64, Ben Wheeler, were held at 2 p.m., November 5 at Van Assembly of God Church with Pastor Brad Williams officiating.

Burial was in Colfax Cemetery under the direction of Hilliard Funeral Home, Van.

Mrs. Lewis died November 2, 2009 in Tyler.

She was born October 20, 1945 in Weslaco to the late William Thomas Praytor and Cora Bell Wiley Praytor. She had lived in Ben Wheeler for 5 years, moving from Olympia, Washington, where she had lived for over 40 years. She worked for the State of Washington as a supervisor in the licensing department, was a member of Van Assembly of God Church and also volunteered at the Van Library.

She was preceded in death by brother, Ronald Praytor, and sisters, Edith Frith, Lillian Lyles, Juanita Huckaby and Mable Niech.

Survivors include husband, Gordon Lewis, Ben Wheeler; sons, Kenneth E. Lewis and Adam T. Lewis, both of Olympia, Wash.; sisters, Wanda Richards and husband, Wesley and Corine Dorsett and husband, Donald, all of Ben Wheeler; and grandchildren, Trevor, Rachel, Kaleb and Ethan.
