Services for Grace Carter Loper Lewis, 92, of Flint, were held at 2 p.m., November 9 at Eubank Funeral Home Chapel, Canton with Rev. Billy Daniels and Bro. Steve Pelz officiating.
Burial was in Woodside Cemetery, Grand Saline.
Mrs. Lewis passed away November 4, 2009 in Flint.
She was born September 18, 1917 in Pruitt to Daniel Boone Carter and Bertie Guinn Carter. She was a member of Bullard Southern Baptist Church. She lived most of her life in East Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husbands: J.P. Loper and Woodrow Lewis, granddaughter, Stephanie Loper, and brothers: LeRoy and Bob Carter.
Survivors include her daughters, Gail and Herk Wall, Athens, Sarah and Tom Oxford, Flint; sons, Joe and Jeannette Loper, Athens, Sammy and Cora Loper, Athens and Mike and Onna Loper, New Meadows, ID; step-daughters, Janelle and Charles Seaburn, Eustace, Judy and Dale Groom, Eustace and Mindy Anderson, Dallas; step-sons, Henry and Martha Lewis, Canton, Darrell and Karen Lewis, McKinney, Harold and Hon Lewis, Dallas, Macky and Linda Lewis, Eustace and Donald Lewis, Athens; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; 20 step grandchildren and 17 step great-grandchildren; brothers, D.B. Carter and Bill Carter and sister, Myrtie Griffin all of Grand Saline.
Pallbearers were Henry Lewis, Macky Lewis, Donny Lewis, Dean Loper, Ed Oxford, Trey Pelz.
