Services for Mrs. Uldene Hill, 94, Grand Saline, were held at 11 a.m., November 12, at Main Street Baptist Church with Bro. Craig Lacy officiating.
Interment followed in Haven of Memories, Canton under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.
Mrs. Hill passed away November 8, 2009 in Grand Saline.
She was born July 7, 1915 in the Providence Community to Edward and Maggie Roye Petrea Jones. She spent all of her life in Grand Saline where she was a member of Main Street Baptist Church and also owned/operated Hill Real Estate until she retired at the age of 85. She was a former State Committee Member of the Republican Party, Grand Saline Study Club, Kaufman/Van Zandt Co. Board of Realtors, and had received the Pioneer Award from Grand Saline Chamber of Commerce. She had also taught Home Economics in Grand Saline.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard Hill; brother, E.C. Jones; son, Richard Hill; and an infant son.
Survivors include daughter-in-law, Gail Hill, Grand Saline; grandchildren, Lynn Heizer, Karen Beckham, John Hill and Stephen Hill; great-grandchildren, Justin Beckham, Thomas Beckham, Stanton Beckham, Emma Heizer, Corbon Heizer, Cavett Hill and Kendrick Hill; numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Justin Beckham, Thomas Beckham, Stanton Beckham, Chris Freeze, Scott Bartley, Buzz Collier and Johnny Thompson.
Memorials may be made to the Grand Saline Public Library or Main Street Baptist Church.
