Two Arrested After Drug Raid
The Van Zandt County Sheriff’s Office arrested two Van residents after a drug raid at a home on VZCR 4517 early last Friday morning.
Sereca Dawn Huff, 29, and Wendell Lee Huggins, 40, were both taken into custody and charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance over 1 gram under 4 grams after officers found methamphetamines and marijuana in the home.
"My office, the Terrell Police Department and the Canton Police Department were all involved in this investigation and subsequent drug raid," said Van Zandt County Sheriff R.P. "Pat" Burnett.
Burnett said that the investigation has been rather lengthy.
"There are two children that live in the home. They were not at home at the time of the raid but Child Protective Services has been contacted concerning their welfare," said Burnett.
"Burnett said that Huff and Huggins both have numerous aliases.
"A small amount of cash was also seized," said Burnett.
Both were released on $7,500 bonds.
