Lady ’Dogs Are District Champions

The Lady Bulldogs got wins number 12 and 13 in district play, defeating Sunnyvale and Mildred, and were one win away from a perfect district mark going into Friday’s game at Blooming Grove. The Lady ’Dogs clinched a district title with the 2-0 win over Sunnyvale.

Cassidi Henderson held Sunnyvale to two hits and struck out 11, while Edgewood scored once in the first and once in the sixth to get the win. Jazmine Dunn knocked in both runs with a single and a home run. Jade Garrison had two singles in the game.

Dunn had a single; a double and an RBI in the 4-2 win over Mildred. Susan Agesen added a home run as the Lady ’Dogs built a 4-0 lead. Mildred scored two in the seventh.

Henderson tossed a one-hitter and struck out 12.
