Five Tigers Named To All-District Teams
The District Champion Canton Eagles garnered four of the six superlatives awards given in the All-District balloting. Three sophomore Eagles are on that list, as well as head coach Jeff Priest as Coach of the Year.
Ethan Vestal was named the Defensive Most Valuable Player of the district. Nich Garrison was awarded the Pitcher of the Year, and Colten Brewer received Newcomer of the Year.
Van senior Zach Harrison received the Most Valuable Player Award, and Mineola junior Colt Bickerstaff is the Offensive Most Valuable Player.
Seniors Colton Newton and Keifer Davis topped the list for Wills Point. Newton was named First Team All-District as a pitcher, and shortstop Keifer Davis was First Team as an infielder.
Marshall Head, Clay Deen and Austin Teel were named to the second team.
