White Takes Fourth At State Track Meet
Wills Point senior Nathan White finished his high school career with a fourth place finish at the state track meet in Austin on Friday, June 5.
White, a track signee to Texas A&M at Commerce, ran the 3200-Meters in a time of 9:42.35.
Stephen Curry of Argyle was first (9:22.91) followed by Abrahm Leija of La Vernia (9:30.25) and Marcos Vallejo of Llano (9:31.34).
In other county news from the state track meet, Grand Saline’s Colton Ross won the Class 2A state championship in the pole vault, clearing a height of 15’.
Canton’s Devin Faber won the bronze medal in the Class 3A pole vault, with a height of 15’6." Heather Sterling, also of Canton, won the silver medal in the 3200-Meter Run with a time of 11:11.
