Lone Oak Seventh Grade ‘A’ Earns Wins
Sawyer Zachary had 23 points and Clint Mahand added 13 to lead the Lone Oak Middle School Seventh Grade "A" team to a 40-33 win at Caddo Mills on Monday.
Christian White had the other four points for the Buffaloes, now 7-1 on the season.
The eighth grade squad dropped a 35-23 decision. Austyn Hooten led Lone Oak with 14 points, Harrison Holt added eight and Hayden Malone had one point.
In the seventh grade "B" game, Caddo Mills prevailed 28-15. Ethan Fite had 11 points for Lone Oak, while Londo Snale and Tyler Killian put in two apiece.
Last Thursday in Lone Oak, the three squads swept games against Como-Pickton.
Fite’s 20 points led the seventh grade "B" team to a 46-2 rout. Snale added 10 and Jon Moore put in eight.
Other scorers included Daniel Davis with four, and Killian and Chris Wilson with two each.
The seventh grade "A" Buffaloes posted a 47-17 victory behind 23 from Zachary and 13 from Mahand.
White and Tim Brannon added five points each and Cody Hardin had one point.
The 46-39 victory for the Lone Oak eighth graders was their second of the season. Hooten and Holt posted 16 points each, Ty Tollison added 13 and Cody Blanton had one point.
