Ford Wrestlers Take Second In Tournament

The Quinlan Ford Panthers wrestling team got second place at the Dallas First Baptist Tournament during the weekend. 

Nathan Riley (135) and Colton Scott (171) took first place finishes.  Al Balliette (160) and Tim Welk (215) got second in their weight classes. 

Dalton Reece (125), Moises Maldanado (180), and Derek Grant (189) finished third in their divisions, while Nick Massey (119) got fourth. 

"This is the highest Quinlan has finished in a tournament since I have been here," head coach Dustin Davisson said. "The boys wrestled very well, and we seem to be peaking at the right time."

The Panther varsity and junior varsity wrestle at Wylie this Saturday.

The girls wrestled at Dallas Kimball on Saturday.  Taylor Mathis went 2-0, Stephanie Moore 1-0, Heather Doiron 1-0, Nicki Lawson 0-2, Lisa Little 2-1 and Bailley Stone 1-1. 

They wrestle at Frisco this Saturday.
